MEDIA TECHNOLOGY

Our Media Technology program strives to produce graduates with expertise and skills in applying media technology in many fields by integrating three disciplines of science: technology, art and design, and human sensing behavior to hatch innovations that fit well with people's lifestyles and to creatively utilize media in other arrays of science to yield a better result such as in medicine, games, digital content, entertainment, exhibitions and shows. and wireless communication equipment .

Digital Media Technology

This program emphasizes on applying computer technology, basic programming skills in a variety of languages, data communication, electronic technology and media design. It aims to create research output to develop technological innovations that respond to human basic needs. A digital media technology major will be able to pursue a career in hardware and software technology development, and also in technology design for advertising media and related industries.

GAME DEVELOPMENT

Game Development

It allows students to acquire basic skills in game and interactive media development, including creative design and programming, familiarize themselves with related software and hardware, and learn to design both 2D and 3D games. The program is designed to produce graduates with knowledge in game development and interactive media, both in advanced software and hardware. It prepares students for a wide range of careers from game developers, graphic designers, to business operators in the gaming software and hardware industry and related industries.

Medical and Science Media

Medical Media Innovation

The program aims to equip graduates with knowledge and ability to apply and integrate knowledge and competency in electronic technology with those in medical science. Its objective is to create research results regarding the application of new media technologies that meet the needs and are beneficial to the medical community.

Qualification

For the Media Technology major, applicants must be a high school graduate from the level-4 science study group and mathematics study group, or from the science-mathematics or the mathematics academic line, or holding an equivalent certificate issued by the Ministry of Education. All applicants must meet the selection criteria of the Media Technology Program, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.

Applicants must pass the selection system according to the criteria of the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI); or pass the selection process of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, or of the B. Sc. Program in Media Technology. The Project of Administrative Cooperation in Media Arts and Media Technology Curriculum, Faculty of Architecture and Design, KMUTT ensures that the applicant who meets all the criteria is eligible for the written test, aptitude test and interview. The admission rounds are as follows.

  • Round 1 Admission and selection by the university ( Active Recruitment / Talent and Petch Phra Mongkutklao Scholarship / Selection of applicants holding excellent academic performance)
  • Round 2 Active Recruitment Project ( Active criteria / GAT-PAT to fairly distribute educational opportunities / GAT-PAT for students with outstanding grades and morality)
