Applicants must pass the selection system according to the criteria of the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), or pass the selection process of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, or of the Medical and Science Media Program. The Project of Administrative Cooperation in Media Arts and Media Technology Curriculum, Faculty of Architecture and Design, KMUTT ensures that the applicant who meets all the criteria is qualified for the written test, aptitude test and interview. The admission committee looks for applicants who are creative, and skillful in art and design and holds an impressive portfolio. The admission rounds are as follows.

• Round 1 Admission and selection by the university ( Active Recruitment / Talent and Petch Phra Mongkutklao Scholarship / Selection of applicants holding excellent academic performance)
• Round 2 Active Recruitment Project ( Active criteria / GAT-PAT to fairly distribute educational opportunities / GAT-PAT for students with outstanding grades and morality)
• Round 3 Direct Admission and TCAS Central Admission
• Round 4 Admission and Selection by the University
